We started relying on the GMO for to improve the food production and recently for the diseases control but is it safe? taking in mind all our safety tests and evaluations are relatively showing the short-term impacts although mutations and evolution based changes taking place after a long period of time, and if we looked far back in time most of the harmful insects whether disease vector or other pests at some point either they were not exist or were not harmful.
Do not you think in the future do to whatever trigger these GMO could possess or cause harm to human or even the entire environment?

These are totally safe, as the genes which are expressing in GM crops are already expressing in the native sources eg BT genes are abundant in soil so what it makes harmful.
Yes of course. GMO is not new. The technic is well established and more caution is applied for that. GMO should not be dangerous for human being.
I do believe it is safe. Bear in mind that genetic modification takes place naturally through crosses and horizontal gene transfer. In GMOs, techniques are exploited to facilitate the transfer of genetic materials
Thanks Atman. I mean we use methods such as Agrobacterium_mediated and biolistic to facilate the transfers of genetic materials which may or might not ever receive these genes naturally.
I do not believe GMO are as safe as is said because we do not enough information what really happens through out the organism. in addition we have no problem with providing human being food using conventional agricultural methods if political and economical issues allow us. also, real advantages of GM plants like Bt cotton have not been proved at least for poor farmers we claim we do it for them(like poor cotton farmers in India).
yes, we may have Bt in the soil but we do not eat Bt toxin in high concentrations available in GM plants while its a protein. if so Ricin is a plant protein!
if we believe in evolution gene transfer among organisms naturally happens during thousands or million years.so they have enough time to adapt and select the positive mutations or genes while this is not the case for our GM plants
I believe that GM plants and their organs like hairy roots are safe and advantageous if we use them in molecular pharming (farming) for production of recombinant proteins and increment of secondary metabolites in medicinal plants if we do not let them to seed in the farm , or produce them in controlled greenhouses in a simple word use them as "bioreactors".
these two cannot be compared. we directly transfer genes to plant cells (nucleus or chloroplast) and suppress plant immune system! against alien genes to make transgenic plants. but mosquitoes bite animals and suck blood.if they transfer a disease agent they transfer an organism and if you remind Zika as far as we know it is not natural and it's believed to be a man-made mosquitoe.
