According to the perception of some people mountain ecosystems are uncongenial and protected human habitat. But, it seems to be opposite nowadays, in other words the mountains are congenial and unprotected human habitat. Any thought, research work and relevant website would be really helpful in understanding this complex thought.

Yes most mountain ecosystems are protected but due to overpopulation the flora and fauna get disturbed. The disturbances in the mountain ranges often make the animals to move into the village areas as for example the Elephant herds from Gorumara forest (of West bengal, India) often come into the local village area and obstruct the train lines.
