Why when the students (Master, Ph.D.,..) ask questions in RG, find the number of readers more than the number of replies? In the viewpoint of the teacher, which is the most important, the development of the student (who is the Future senior executive, researcher or teacher= sustainable teaching), or the development of his self, or both of them?

Dear You are right a good teacher has to look about the possible future of his students and that is what is somehow missing in France. For 100 PhD there is only 1 who will get a position in Academic research the others have to find a job outside without any help as if there was only one Nobel price and 99 stupid persons. After that government don't understand why students stop interesting Research. It's amazing! When you have a family you need to earn money to live don't you? Your questions are not quite clear: too general and more resemble the story earns stories (similar l'art pour l'art in art). The student needs to go to class, to listen and to learn, a lot, a lot to do personally.
Of course, I agree with Ljubomir, every good teacher will help your student to clarify what is not clear, and sometimes someone else's. But the teachers have a lot of, their own obligations, care, and, of course, they have not the time to spare.

The core duty of every teacher is to provide guidance to students and bring them close to the doors of realization of their potentials and skills as they walk straight into the great rooms of successful life in their future endeavors whether in the academia or industry. This guidance SHOULD NOT be confined to ONLY students in our field of training, it must be GIVEN TO ALL STUDENTS who need such assistance. We were not called into the profession for the few but the many. It is interesting how teachers can impact every student, equally those who read other programmes but needed just a tap. A Senior High School student I encountered in 1991 who nearly gave up studying Elective Mathematics is now a successful medical doctor because of a simple encouraging words I wrote in his Elective Mathematics textbook: 'You are greater than the formulas that haunts you, I see a medical doctor in you. Let nothing stop you.' I am happy that I gave him the tap that day when his demeanor at the library room I passed signalled to me that he was at the verge of giving up. Interestingly, he offered the surgical operation that saved my aunt's life at the KAT hospital in Ghana, offering to cushion all the medical expenses!
Teachers, let us open our arms and embrace all students who come in contact with us irrespective of the variance in our fields of knowledge. Most times we don't need to offer content knowledge to them which we may be deficient. Yet, we can offer them something that their own teachers may not have offered them: GUIDANCE and ENCOURAGEMENT. 1. The readers "read it by accident".
2. The reader is not an expert in the field of the question, and does not feel qualified to answer.
3. The reader is a researcher and not a teacher.
4. The readers are short of time.
5. They are not paid to answer.

You raise several interesting questions.
(1) Do university teachers have a duty only to their students or all students who need help? First of all, teachers have a duty mainly to their students, Students who need help exist everywhere all over the world. So, if every teacher helped their students, there would not be no student in lack of help from theachers other than their own teachers. However, a teacher, as a citizen of the world, should do his/her best to help any student whoever.
(2) Why, when Master or Ph D students ask questions in RG, do they find more readers than repliers? To read a question is easier than to give an answer to it. For exemple, to answer well to a research question raised by a Master or a Ph D student respondents need to be skilled researchers and professors. Note that not all RG members are in this position. More to the point, to read a question takes less time and requres less cognitive effort than to respond to it. And university professors often have their time taken to teach, learn, perform research, attend meetings, supervise their sudents and the like.
(3) In the viewpoint of the teacher, which is it the most important, the development of the student, the development of his self, or the development of them both? As I see it, the first option should be the case. In other words, the ultimate goal of a good or excellent professor is to generate students who come to be able to dispense with their professors and hence come to go beyond them when looking for the unknown. Given that learning and teaching are deeply intertwined, the relation between them should be bidirectional rather than unidirectional. This means that when professors are concerned with their students development, they are fostering their development qua professor too. Note that students often give feedback to their teachers, which may foster teachers' development.

Big question! isn't? our jobs as teachers make us dedicate ourselves to help all students, however with legal regulations and cultural differences make us sometimes to think twice to help all the students.

Yes this is true and sometimes no replies at all or sometimes find some answers after a year from submitting your question!
Many scientists are busy and some of them not interact with RG for unknown reasons. Juniors of researchers who believe in RG interact but with little experience to answer the questions properly. Also be aware still millions of scientists not in the RG system.

The issue is extremely interesting because it affects a majority in any country in the world.

Yes, once we are teachers in the heart and soul, with passion and love, we will always help others, especially those who come for help. In my journey in the academic world I found out that many teachers don't think like that. After all, we are humans! I think the ones who feel the same way end up getting together (though many times overlooked by the very ambitious ones). I learned to let them go and made my choice: my students. I help them in learning applied linguistics science as well as academic genres (in oral and written mediums) so they can fly higher. But we can't trace their path. I think we have to do our best while in teaching, showing the students processes of knowledge construction towards products (the outputs, their researches), as well as our way of giving value to our work, our students, knowledge... Then, they will choose their lives having a little bit of our heart/soul/ways of thinking with them - but the path is theirs. So, in my point of view, the more good teachers devote themselves to human construction, the greater help we are doing to the formation of a new and more conscious generations of teachers/researchers. That is what I have learned.

Teacher's role is not limited to students in his teaching circle, but beyond where needs for his help/ facilitation is required.
Also, teacher's role is not only teaching the assigned subject/s, where as training (professionally) is vital component that demands contribution of the teachers.

Teacher's duty is a life long duty to humanity in general, Dr. Parisa is right 100%.
It depends on what point of view we are dealing with. Here in Brazil, a civil servant per se must attend all citizens. All teachers admitted to elementary school, high school and higher education of municipalities, states and federal ones are civil servants. I as a civil servant should attend to everyone (not necessarily as science) to guide them how to act, who to talk to and how to talk about the subject that afflicts them. I must meet the population.
Here in Brazil, too, the professors of the Federal Public Universities make a competition for the Higher Magisterium (that is, to be teachers and to be in the classroom with the undergraduate students), but what is most seen in their Curricula is that they are purely Researchers. It was not for this, however, that they went public. There is a counterpoint here because the individual was selected for a function, but they require that they perform a thousand other functions, such as guiding many graduate students, many pos-graduate students. This forces the teachers to forget that they are here to train people and that is what they have been selected for do it (Here there is no in our professional Code a Researcher Profession). But mentoring undergraduates gives a lot of work and having graduate students gives much less work
In addition, teachers leave their classroom activities under graduation under the tutelage of their masters and doctoral students (exceeding the legal hours allowed for them to perform these activities with undergraduate students according to the Ministry of Education of our Country) in their teaching stages and stay inside their rooms only dedicating themselves to "research".
There is an immense value investing here as to being a teacher, at least in the Federal Public Universities, as has been seen for decades here.

Obviously, the duty of a Tertiary institution teacher is not limited to few academically challenged students but transcend the entire school system and its environments, such as the economic, physical, political, religious and social environments. All these responsibilities could be categorized into Teaching, Researches and Community services(TRC). The teaching aspect entails curricular(Classroom activities) and extra-curricular activities such as guidance and counseling where the students with academic problems are thoroughly examined and recommendations are proffer to save them from being a school dropout. Researches entails academic researches, discoveries, inventions and students' project/Thesis/Dissertation supervision. However, the Community Service entails protecting the image of the school Organization within and outside the school host community through moral life as a role model, suggestions of solutions to social problems such as ethnology-religious, problems and a host of others, etc.

My teacher used to ask us: If you see an old shivering lady crossing the street with a bag full of eggs, would you run up to her, snatch the bag, through it on the asphalt and start dancing on it? No, you wouldn't, you would go up to her and offer her help. Because help is a universal human value.
Doctors will treat everyone who come under their care, no matter who they are. That the natural thing to do if you are a Doctor.
Maybe one out of 10,000 people would choose not to help this old lady to cross the street. Maybe one of on 1000 Doctors will not treat a particular person. However the next day we would hear about them on the news.
There might a million people going to work every day to earn a decent living and only one of them would be corrupted. and we would hear about the one out of million and not the rest.

I think every teacher - like many RG collogues already said - should and would offer help for those who need it, even if they are not in their class - for this is the natural thing to do, and this is the right thing to do.
That's how teachers would pass on the baton of helping others, to student would who will pass it on to their friends and children and that's how humanity will continue to live by the universal value of helping others.

In my country, only the universities and their professors are obliged to do teaching, research and extension (activities with the community).
Colleges, for example, have only teaching activities.
Knowledge increases when it is shared with others. Therefore it is desirable for everyone who knows must share his/her knowledge with others. I am teaching in an university for more than 44 years. I learned a lot during teaching.
In my own opinion, When we are professors we should help all students, the main reasons is that we are teaching every body. Even students from other universities. We can be no only teachers also Tutors.

Since I do not see my answer, I shall repeat it in a nutshell: I think a university teacher (who has knowledge) is ethically supposed to answer a question, raised in RG, by whatever student or scholar who is in need of help.
A teacher is someone able to share his knowledge with those that have absolutely no interest for subject. To reach those closed minds they think on tricks, on videos, pictures, any kind of motivation tactics. Finding someone who really want to learn os not an obligation, it is a joy.

I have been a teacher for more than 30 years and besides attending to the students, I try to help all who request it. In my opinion, it is not possible to dress as a teacher only in the classes in which we are assigned, that is, I am a full-time teacher!

A University teacher is a universal researcher/teacher that teaches all the students and every other persons in need of the teacher's related discipline help. The targeted students for the university students include both the foreign and local students.
All students of course with a focus on his students to provide effecient academic supervision and adequate guidance.
Pour moi, enseigner c'est une noble mission et j'adore ce métier. Chaque enseignant doit donner sans compter (son temps, sa connaissance, ses conseils et ses encouragements) car à travers ce qu'il donne, c'est le développement de compétences futures et nous voulons qu'elles soient de qualité, ça c'est notre devoir. La récompense des enseignants, c'est leur salaire qu'ils doivent mériter. Pour moi qui enseigne le design de produit, ma fierté est voir mes étudiants réussir dans le monde professionnel entant qu’entrepreneurs ou enseignants ou autre.
As a facilitator cum a PhD researcher, I often help all the researchers of all level; although I am at my starting career, the university gives me lecturers at bachelor's level, hence, I often request to my senior colleagues to give me some lecturers at Master's level (with thesis). There I encourage the students to do their research fairly. Sometimes, students come to to take guidelines for their research which make me happy. Doing this, I get two type of benefits; it enhances my knowledge into multiple fields, and this social work (without any financial benefit) makes me happy and healthy contributing into the social benefits. So that, as a teacher we should help the students at anytime without hesitation, it's a spiritual duty of any teacher.
And what about "homeworks" - who solves them? Student or "helping colleague" :-)

Usually University teachers help all students in different areas if they have knowledge, expertise and time.
When teachers become self- less they will share their experiences, their resources, their teaching materials etc for the next generation.
I have had such teachers and mentors who still amaze me and inspire me. They are truly gems and will be loved and remembered by all their students. 😍
However there are still some teachers who like to guide only their students, show partiality etc.
I am an assistant professor in Menoufia university since 2012 and besides attending to the students. All the time, i try to help all who request it. So, i am a full-time teacher.
