What is the role/function of lipid droplets in leaves (and other non-seed tissue) in plants?

We know that lipid droplets (LDs) are not so common in leaf tissues. Do we know of any examples of plant groups (a particular genus or family) that bear LDs in leaves (and other non-seed tissue)?
