Generally, all producers of mining equipment should observe the ergonomic requirements. If not, or when we have an old equipment, or you notice, that mining operators are not supported well, you can do such study to improve working condition.
The study can be a comparison between good practice and real situation.

There is always a scope of ergonomically improvement to reduce drudgery and efficiency with safety. You can design/ modified such equipment for mining to improve working conditions.
Building on the responses of others, ergonomic considerations can support the efficiency and effectiveness of both the design and use of equipment, reduce errors, and enhance safety protocols to support the health and well being of operators. For instance, the impact of whole-body vibration, lifting equipment (NIOSH), noise, dust, fatigue, monotony, near misses, reporting protocols, organisational culture, etc. needs to be considered by looking at the operator within the system. There are numerous tools ergonomists use to evaluate the impact of various conditions and equipment design to support work environments.
