Apart from the paper I cited - does anyone have data/research paper to support this geographical difference in the distribution of periampullary cancers in the East - to show that unlike the West, where pancreatic cancers form the majority of cancers resected with pancreaticoduodenectomy - ampullary cancers form the majority in the East.

I would say, Periampullary rather than Ampullary

Thanks Sanjay.  I think it's interesting that there is a difference in the distribution of these cancers in the East and West but there is little data published on this.

In our dept too majority of PDs are for priampullary carcinomas.I am not sure about the data.
