I want to ask you if there is anyone searching on the DOA using eigenvector method (EV). This method was proposed after MUSIC method. I am faced with a problem in calculating the magnitude and accurate angle for this method.
Can you be more specific about what you have & what you need?
I am unclear on what you mean by "after MUSIC".
The accuracy of MUSIC is covered in the literature, eg vanTrees. Under approriate conditions including high SNR DOA accuracy is high, if biased.
The magnitude of the MUSIC pseudo-spectrum is not directly related to the strength of the source, despite it being common to plot & at least indirectly, interpret it in this way. Which magnitude are you trying to estimate?
I have documentation about ESPRIT and TLS ESPRIT algorithm which are based on eigenvectors and eigenvalues decomposition and I worked lot of on this methods the book is of Pillai array signal processing. Spriger.
With any subspace based methods, in general we cannot estimate the amplitude. For finding the amplitude we have to use other algorithms. You can see [1]. As for the Ev method, it is a normalization with the respective eigen value while computing the scalar product. See [2].
