I am trying to synthesis Oxime from beta keto ester. Although it's a very simple reaction but I could get the product in my reaction. II tried many methods but every reactions I get cyclized product. I used many bases and solvents. But the result is the same. Could anybody help me out.
Please let me know your complete plan i may have suggestion. Or only you have to get oxime!
Can you try with OH protected Hydroxyl amine like Trityloxyamine or other protected hydroxyl amine. Then you will get oxime.
I think batter way to you reactions is: firstly transform ester to carboxylic acid (less reactive) and after make oxime, and esterify acid on the final step.
i think you have to try in different beta keto ester or on active -CH2 group rplace both proton by alkyl group and then make oxime
