What are the different forecasting methods that can be used to predict the next expenditures of customers.I have read that different forecasting methods performs best for different spending patterns, so i want a group of forecasting methods that i can compare.

I would also suggest looking into artificial neural networks forecasting models and neuro fuzzy systems as well as all methodologies mentioned by Dr. Ofoghi.
More important than the methodologies is how much data you have and whether you are able to divide your data into training/testing/validation sets.

You can consider ensemble learning methods, such as Random Forest or Deep learning methods, such as convolutional neural networks (CNNs)
