I want to know how a research project is different from research paper?
A research project and a research paper are two distinct documents that serve different purposes.
A research project is a larger endeavor that involves defining a problem, formulating a research question or hypothesis, selecting a methodology to conduct the study, collecting and analyzing data, and presenting findings. Research projects can take many forms, such as scientific experiments, surveys, ethnographic studies, case studies, and more. A research project results in a comprehensive report that details the entire research process, including the methodology, data collection and analysis, and findings. Research projects are usually a requirement for academic degrees.
On the other hand, a research paper is a shorter document that presents the results of a research project. The research paper typically focuses on one aspect of the research project, such as one specific set of findings or a particular research question or hypothesis. The research paper provides a summary of the research project, including the methodology, results, and conclusions.
Un proyecto de investigación consta de diferentes tipos de actividades y tambien de las etapas de investigación (búsqueda de la bibliografía, su lectura crítico-analítica, precisión de un problema y de una hipótesis, un trabajo de campo (si es necesario). Además incluye la redacción de diferentes documentos independientes entre sí, pero subordinados a las actividades de investigación (la descripción del proyecto, según un formato, el calendario de investigación, los reportesperiódicos, etc.) El propio research paper es un texto (documento, tesis, etc.) final, donde se trata del contendio (las ideas, las teorías, en que se basó, su descripción y la argumentación, la propuesta de soución del problema, etc. de la investigación.

Research paper = article in a journal.
The main difference between a research paper and a research project is that a research paper is a written document presenting the findings and conclusions of an investigation, while a research project is the overall process of exploring, investigating, and analyzing a specific topic, which may culminate in a research paper or other form of presentation.
A detailed description of the research work is research project ( from background of the study, problem statement, methodology... to data presentation data, analysis... and conclusion) whereas research paper is seems to be relatively a summary form of a research project presenting Introduction , methods , findings and conclusion of a particular aspects of the study.
