my project title is Enhancement of DGS based UWB Antenna using Multilayer Metamaterial. I've done designing my uwb antenna and got the specification that i need. But, i still stuck to design the multilayer metamaterial as shown in figure provided. If anyone know to solve this problem or help to teach on how to design, it will be much helpful. Thank you.

1. metamaterial unit element realization will be the first step
2. second step would be to carry out array analysis of the metamaterial unit cell - this helps with how far coupling between the co located unit elements affects the cumulative properties of the metamaterial array.
3. stage 3 would be to realize the antenna design without metamaterial array
4. stage 4 can be carried by two ways,
a. either the multilayered structure can be defined on the antenna above as the procedure carried to design layers of patch antenna ie. substrate, gnd plane and so on , but just with little spacing in between patch and meta array to define air gap.
b. else, to match the multilayered structure response with real time antenna design, a supporting post (nylon spacers) which might be used to hold the multilayered metamaterial array in real time (since, multilayered board wont be floating in air in real time) could be designed in cst while designing the antenna itself.
5. the last point would be, if more than one array layer were to be stacked above antenna, then realize the same by layer by layer.
