Depends on how effectively you are able to use social media.

For me absolutely no!

It depends on the user's perception.

If you use social media to spread hatred, rumors, porn and others bad things, or even spend too much time on social network then, NO.

However, if you connect your oldies, share good moments, search for people/community you need, share trends, do trades, use in education then, YES.

But, in both the cases you have scope to research (though it sounds bad, but its today's reality).
