Hi I'm looking for articles regarding Depression and Chronic MS. My group are putting together a poster regarding the public health need for this group. Anecdotally while we've been on placement we've found this group tends to fall between services quite a lot. Does anyone have any more information regarding this?

In the old MS literature (1970's) there was a strong recommendation by a neurologist that good psychotherapy was a prevention for exacerbation, with some data. After 40 years as a health psychologist, I think that is still true, even with the emergence of effective drug treatment. You are sadly right that all of the chronic neurological disorders have profound emotional reactions to living with catastrophic diseases. And they rarely get referred for therapy... Go for it...
