I have been read some scientific articles about treating potato tubers in storage with some natural oils e.g., caraway and peppermint for suppression of potato tubers sprouting. I want to know the ability to use these natural oils as a foliar application in potato plants as a pre-harvest to delaying the sprouting of potato tubers in storage because I did not find literature about this point

Treating potato tubers in storage with the most effective sprouting inhibitor prevents by interfering cell division . Isopropyl N-chlorophenyl carbamate acts as a good anti-sprouting inhibitor.
Oil may inhibit good gaseous as well as moisture exchange. It could be a reason for delaying the sprouting.
I am asking for the ability for using such oils as a foliar application in open field
Maleic hydrazide is also being used as sprout inhibitor in potato
