treat them with concentrated hydrochloric acid, you should be able to see difference. Burn them and observe the odour, also electron microscopy can help in differentiating between them.

hello, try these testrs for confirmation of hemp fibe:
N/50 iodine and 80%H2SO4 gives blue, middle yellow
Cuoxam test( mix 0.5 gm of copper carbonate in a mortar with 10ml of distilled water and gradually add to it 10ml of stron solution of ammonia with continued stirring. it is used to disssolve cellulose). fibre soluble.
5%koh , warm : fibre insoluble,
Phloroglucinol + Hcl : slight red
chlorazinc iodine: purple yellow.
