If you are going to work as a professor at University then you should study PhD. However, if you are going to work in business you should do DBA. It’s more professional than PhD.

DBA is a relatively new comer. I know professors in business schools with DBA and accomplished managers with PhD. I have been a professor with a DBA teaching IT in science faculty and business faculty at various times. My point is that a doctorate is a label to tell people that you have done research and higher learning; I won't worry about which label you have as long as you have one; it is your real strength - your sense of morality, your acumen, your deep knowledge of a particular area or areas - that counts. Go for a doctorate, be it PhD, DBA, or whatnot.

Of course DBA, its future and base of corporation managemen, everything in a company built over DBA and ones who have good of it can do easy fraud investigAtion, can create good internal control, have easy ERM, managers can see the corporation general condition so easy. No one is care about phd, school is time lost, people prefer personnel learned it on field, of course phd can make a way for you but things you learn on school never fits the practical reality, prefer phd if you want to be prof,

I'd rather take the PhD, like the one I'm currently studying. I's both theoretical and practical, close to reality, it has events and workshops along the way, plus the post-Doc Educators are extraordinary in classes and with their awesome backgrounds.
It is base on your needs. If you have a very strobg basic in strategic management than you can do a PhD. Because you PhD will make you an expert in one particular area or even a.topic not the entire field in strategic.management. But DBA is different, you might not have a strong basics but based on discussion and group work, you learn theory plus hands on. Most of the time it involves a lot of case study.
