Market having many equipment for gait analysis, which make it not easy to choose. The best way to deal with this issue is to identify specific goals and try to find the suitable equipment to achieve the specific goals.
Hello, depending on your analysis needs, you can choose a camera system such as the vicon system, if your analysis can be done in the laboratory, however, in case you are evaluating a real situation, it might be better to use inertial sensors and baropodometry using sensorized insoles. We have done some studies in real situations and the inertial sensors that we have used are of the brand xsens.
At the core of the question interfaces like Qualisys and Vicon all do the same thing as they're just tools. You should consider things like generating reports, easy integration with matlab, compatibility with other wearable sensors e.g. IMUs. I use Vicon and both the interface and support are great.
As stated above, and I would also add to it. Are you looking at postural factors - whether this is large scale lower limb or whole body, or small scale such as sub talar joint, motion at mid tarsal joint during stance phase etc? If the latter, then are plantar pressure forces a factor..? You will always need the 3d mocap, it's what else you need to find to answer your question.
