Can anyone help me identify this crab species? Found in rock pools of Dee Why, Sydney, Australia. That's not a bucket either, but a disposable cup, so it may well be a juvenile. Carapace about an inch diameter.
It's a species of Thalamita, I'm not sure on the species -how many lobes does it have between the eyes? Try to use the keys in the below papers and see where you get:
