I’ve collected some thousand SEM photographs of diatom specimens and now is thinking of how to “quickly” identify all of them. “Quickly” means that it is necessary to spent some weeks for identifications, not years. But one problem is that I don’t know many of them, because the studied region in new for me. Could you recommend me an appropriate approach of how to identify a huge amount of diatoms most of which are new for me?
