I'm looking for official and reliable references (books or high-quality research papers) on calculation of chargeable weight and international shipping freight. For airway, chargeable weight is based on gross weight and volumetric weight, whichever is higher as TACT rules issued by IATA. However, for seaway, roadway and railway, I cannot find any book or official material discussing this issue. Practically, I have found several companies proving the rules to calculate international shipping freight for common transport modes, e.g., DHL (https://www.dhl. com/us-en/home/global-forwarding/freight-forwarding-education-center/calculating-chargeable-weights.html). Nevertheless, I am wondering that, when sending goods by seaway, roadway and railway, it is calculated by volume or weight as the approach food at: https://www.advancedontrade.com/2015/03/how-to-calculate-chargeable-weight-in-air-sea-and -road-shipments.html. I am looking forward to your advice. Thank you so much.

Best regards
