Quality standars as ISO 17025 can help you to manage some critical aspects of a research laboratories, specially when some routine measurements must to be done. For this purpose also can be useful an ISO 9001: 2015, however in both cases there exist technical and management aspects. In the past, when I did a more direct laboratory work in a research lab, the ISO 9001 was a good instrument for devices and instrument control, reagent and residues management and for protocols control. I opine that at least as example for the students, is important some contact with quality standards as example for their future jobs.

and in microbic laboratory iso 17025 new version is very good
