Could anybody share the details geometry and material properties of simple supported reinforced concrete bridge beam/girder based on following.
1. AASHTO, Eurocode or any others standard
2. Without prestressed strands, only reinforcement concrete (with reinforcement details)
3. geometry details based on different span
4. T-Beam/Girder or just simple rectangular beam
The researcher should clearly define the problem he seeks to work on.
Solutions for deflections and internal forces in terms of loading and beam material properties can be derived using strength of materials methods.
Theory of elasticity methods can also be used to formulate the problems of bending/ flexure of simply supported beams.
Other methods for deriving solutions for simply supported beams relating loads, beam geometry and support conditions and beam material properties are calculus of variations methods, and could be used for both static and dynamic problems of beams.
Theory of elasticity methods should be better suited for the analysis to take account of the three dimensional nature of the elasticity problem, and to account for the shear deformation especially for deep beams.
Derive the mathematical expressions by consideration of stress-strain, kinematics, and equilibrium.
Methods of the calculus of variations could also be used to formulate the governing equations and hence the analysis.
