I currently have a 120v Corning PC-420 which is essential to my workflow, it seems a shame to buy a brand new hotplate after ruining a $15 component. I've tried researching all of the numbers I could read off it but found nothing, only thing I could read was "HD35-12:5 A". Is that the winding ratio or voltages + amperage? The transformer has two pins on the primary winding and four on the secondary. I'm hesitant to test a new one without being certain it's correct for fear of damaging anything else. Maybe someone has a broken one and would be willing to sell the components? Any help is appreciated.
