Due to the lockdown situation and limited interaction with the people it has become very difficult to conduct interviews for research data collection. What are the difficulties researchers face and what alternative ways can be adopted for data collection?

In LMIC countries, the interviewer face the problem of lack of health information culture what is called stigma for being affected by covid 19. Communities in many countries in Arab Nation for example have attitude about stigma , human right violation and discrimination as well as mental illness.
So researcher should put in consideration about types of questionnaire and inclusion criteria (segmentation of sample) and affection by socioeconomic factors and educational factors.
I agree with you Ag S. But the problem that comes here is the response.. People are not willing to respond to questionnaires.
I agree with the point raised by Khaled Almaz . Stigma is a basic concern in populations especially in LMICs, it may be due to lack of health education or cultural norms in these countries. Even well-educated individuals are reluctant to provide information due to this stigma.
To conduct interview based survey, online platforms are best available options but everyone might not have access to internet during these times due to financial constraints so mobile phones can be used as an alternatives.
