Can we convert old IC engines with high pollution to compressed air engines. Changes required only for intake system and cam shaft.

Only expansion and exhaust will be there. I believe this is feasible. Let me know your opinion.

Compressed air engines are negative emission type. Since they use air and at the time of compressing air is filtered hence eventually it remove dust and other things. This is also an alternative for battery where mechanical shaft power from power plants can be directly used for compressing air. Hence electricity conversion and transmission losses wont be there.

Note. These wont be negative emission if we are burning coal for power production.
