I think I was not completely clear in the formulation of my question.
Can anyone help me with the design of a test for mitochondrial impairment, which could be remedied by Q10 supplementation? There has been a publication about the correlation of a murine virus and prostate cancer by researchers from Salt Lake. The publication was retracted due to lab contamination concerns. http://www.pnas.org/content/106/38/16351.full.pdfFree
It is my hypothesis that a viral infection, such as XMRV, could trigger a mitochondrial reaction resulting in symptoms comparable to chronic fatigue. Recent work with Gulf syndrome soldiers, does suggest that mitochondrial damage has occurred, which may be amenable to treatment with Q10. Kind regards, Harrie Verhoeven
