And thank you Elinor also, I have that book and am reading it. But Seyfried based all his work on Warburg's in the sense that he started out to verify with modern equipment and methods was had been done, and given the quality of the original work, he naturally comes to pretty much the same conclusions, except for the small additional effect of glutamine metabolism for cancer cells, which Warburg didn't know about. I wanted to see what other people, and more specifically, what the more general view in the research community is, especially from those involved in the actual details of the research first hand.

This goes very much along with the book cancer as a metabolic disease.
I think it's a great question to read the important papers in the field, but perhaps, a very important question that I have not seen addressed adequately is: how do we accurately measure metabolism in cancer tissues? From what I've observed, there is no good way to accurately measure metabolism occurring in cancer tissue. So, all conjectures regarding metabolism may be useless, unless accurate measurements can be had--please anyone feel free to enlighten me on this assessment--I'm happy to be proven wrong about this. From what I can tell microarray, next gen, etc, data is useless here, so would enjoy hearing my belief is not true.
