i'm searching for an easy and available method for liposome preparation. my intended cargo is plasmid and the liposome should be stable and nano-sized and oxid-resistant.
I recommend Mozafari method (about 212 publications mentioning / recommending this method, see attached screen-shot of Google Scholar search done today) .
Details of this method can be found in the attached papers.
Let me know if you need details.

Use lecithin (phosphatidyl choline) and cholesterol mixture prepared in acetone or chloroform. Put in a rotary flask under vacuum, and evaporate whole of solvent while flask is continuously rotated. The thin film of of lecithin and cholesterol need to be suspended in minimum volume (day 5 to 10 ml) of PBS, pH 7.2 and sonicate the suspension briefly. Liposomes shall be ready now. If you intend to entrap a drug or molecules, and them to suspension before sonicate. Cheap and simple approach.
professor M. R. Mozafari thank you for taking the trouble to help me. your literature was fluent and helpful. I'm so glad to receive an exact answer from a scientist countryman :-)
