Classical computing was possible by artificial Semi Conductors (npn- and pnp-Transistors). Quantum Computing was always following classical intentions but tried to use latest QM.
Now we find QM has own rules and we are not able to use the particles in manageable and steerable ways. We need Artificial Quantum Particles (AQP) whatever they can be....
As AQP (Artificial Quantum Particle) I can imagine an electron with steerable spin, an ion with steerable charge, a photon with steerable polarisation, or something else in that way....
The next step would be the combination of these AQP in artificial (and not physical naturally) containers.....

The reversibility of 1 and 2 Qubit Quantum Gates seems to be the solution of Superpositioning - an old, very much discussed term in Quantum Information Theory.
