Is it possible to dope a pre-made film of a conductive polymer that was synthesized without the dopant electrochemically? Additionally I was wondering if anyone has selectively doped/undoped the polymer electrochemically?
I think yes, it is possible, at least for polyaniline films. But more detailed answers on the most of your questions in this area can be found in the authors' monography «Computational and Experimental Analysis of Functional Materials». Edited by Oleksandr Reshetnyak at all, https://doi.org/10.1201/9781315366357.
The main attention in this book is paid into the recent theoretical and practical advances in conductive polymers and nanocomposites as well as is covered the different branches of knowledge: from the obtaining of nanoparticles with the use of new synthetic techniques to application of the obtained nanomaterials and nanocomposites in different fields of industry.
This book comprehends the questions both of the synthesis of polyaniline by different methods, under different conditions, for various applications, and also the studies of its properties by a wide range of the modern physical–chemical methods. The advantages of this book are comprehensive analysis experimental results from the point of view of the correlations in the triad «Synthesis Conditions – Structure – Physical and Chemical Properties». Besides some chapters contain the integrated results which will be very valuable as a referenced data.
