You can use the web GIS service for the preparation of lineament map. Bhuvan portal has already prepared lineament thematic layer (1:50k scale). By using WMS service of ArcGIS and Bhuvan, you can prepare the map.

Dear Mahadev, first by adopting Arc GIS use the hillshade of your interest area DEM, second draw polyline for each V-shape line in DEM. this way you extract long lineaments of studied area.

You can accomplish this task using free QGIS software. First you create a line type shapefile containing the lineaments.

With your study area DEM, create overlapped relief images: Raster Menu> Terrain Analysis> Shading

There is a plugin that performs counting and rosette diagram Line direction histogram.

Line direction histogram: Create a histogram (rose diagram) of line directions

The distribution of line segment directions as a rose diagram (weighted using the line segment lengths). Can save the rose diagram as CSV, PDF or SVG.
