Modern cities are becoming increasingly complex in terms of waste management. The question explores the potential of using intelligent algorithms and AI-based systems that could automatically sort waste, optimise collection routes and predict residents' bulky waste needs. According to the accepted research hypothesis, waste management systems supported by artificial intelligence are more effective and efficient in increasing recycling rates and reducing operating costs compared to traditional systems, which are less automated and inflexible. Cities generate huge amounts of waste, and traditional waste management methods are costly and often inefficient. The introduction of artificial intelligence can bring many benefits, such as more accurate waste sorting, prediction of waste generation patterns, and optimisation of logistics. For example, AI algorithms can analyse data in real time, identifying areas with the highest recycling potential, allowing for better resource allocation. What's more, such systems can raise residents' awareness through personalised waste segregation information. However, the implementation of these technologies requires significant investment and adequate staff training, making the problem difficult to solve.
