Other colleagues suggested very useful papers of original theory. I find myself to be easy to comprehend the theory through seeing how it helps us interpret something. In case of Marcus theory, I find the paper (10.1039/b816406c) is quite helpful since it generally introduce us how to calculate the charge transfer property of materials by using the hoping model of Marcus.
