For simulation I need connect few figures in the GUI, but when I open second GUI from the first, for example by adding the function gui2fig=open('secondgui.fig') in pushbutton's callback function, the second GUI is not work. Can somebody explain the correct way how to connect two GUI figures. Relevant references are welcome!

Remi, thank you for your response, but your answer not relevant to my question. What I want to do is to create figure with multiple buttons, sliders and few plots. Pushing on some of the buttons must open new figures with new buttons, sliders and plots.
I tried use the information from the following link:

but this is not enough.
I suppose you need to relay the handle to figure 1 as parameter when creating figure 2 (and save the handle to figure 2 that is created), so that you can refer to data in each GUI figure. I.e. do not simply open the design time figure but handle the info swapping at the create time.
Simple example is attached for Matlab 2014a (run the GUI1.m). Obs! Figures are created on top of each other...
It might be also good idea rather only hide the figures not in use and make them visible (with updated contents) when needed instead of creating them again and again...
