Peng Robinson cubic equation of state cannot accurately predict phase envelopes for mixtures of polar compounds. Can Peng Robinson equation calculate vapour liquid equilibrium curve for pure polar compounds like ammonia and water? I have tried calculating vapour liquid equilibrium curve for water and found it to be reasonably accurate. I am getting boiling point temperature (vapour liquid equilibrium temperature) of water at atmospheric pressure as 374 K or 101 C using Peng Robinson equation which is very close to the actual value of 373 K or 100 C.
