I noticed this finding, where after laparoscopy or hysteroscopy, a hemorrhagic ovarian cyst occurred during the next cycle that was about 4 cm. Is there a relation? Any explanation is appreciated!
I do believe that this is merely a coincidence and that endoscopy is not related to the offspring of ovarian cysts. It is not perfectly clear why these haemorrhagic cysts occur in one patient and not in the other, the reason for that may be connected to hormones and could be prevented by OC pills.
Yes, I also came across a case of a hemorrhagic cyst in the ovary after laparoscopic cholecystectomy. The reason may be that pneumoperitoneum created during the surgery may cause rupture of fine vessels in the ovary But this may be self-limiting.
