I need to find deflection of beam due to its weight. Can i add mass as point load (mass*gravity) at the center of the beam ( Cantilever Beam).?
I have done it in Abaqus, first using gravity load option and then by adding weight (mass*gravity) of the beam at the center of beam but the results doesn't match.

Thanks for your reply. It worked.
I have also calculated deflection of beam considering self weight as udl load and results match with Abaqus.
Is it possible (or correct) to replace this udl with point load at the end of the beam to get same deflection as it gives for udl.

I should implement this case on beam but only by adding load at the end nodes of beam. is it possible.?
