I recently had some inconveniences with another editorial group as author and reviewer; since then, I have learnt a lot about unethical behaviours of publishing groups
SAGE is Ok. But bear in mind that they are traditionally hidebound to publishing only qualitative research without declaring so. Their publications on mixed research and quantitative research are thin on the ground. You will find that SAGE coverage of the sciences is very spotty. For example, they do not accept papers on "Software Engineering". and so someone may waste valuable time submitting to SAGE and being rejected.
I have had a good experience with Sage, but as others have said, be sure to check their information for authors.
Sage is OK but check instructions to authors and follow it carefully.

Personally, I think SAGE, Taylor and Francis group and Elsevier are the best to target your paper. Regards, Anas

Check the indexing (SCI, SCI-Expanded etc.) for the Sage journal you are going to submit your article.
