Also, it is possible that this will have less academic value because it will be the same article published twice, making no new significant contribution in the literature. But a book chapter is still worth publishing and researchers do it all the time.

You may need permission from the journal editor in case that you transmitted the copyright for your paper to the publisher of the journal. In case that the copyright remained with you, there is no problem to re-publish the paper. Copyright rules also differ in different countries. Buenos días, no es aconsejable la reimpresión porque al ser igual al artículo va a dar como plagio, pero si es cierto que al hacer un artículo y más si fueron resultados de proyectos de investigación con varios productos, se tuvo que realizar una revisión amplia del tema, por lo que da facilidad realizar un capítulo de libro de revisión. Si lo que se desea publicar es el artículo como tal, si tiene que pedir permiso al editor y la revista para su publicación completa.
