Hello colleagues, I’m working on symmetry reductions of differential equations using Lie algebras, and I’m currently trying to construct an optimal system of one-dimensional subalgebras using Maple.

I've been using the LieAlgebras package (together with DifferentialGeometry) and the command LieOptimalSubalgebras(...), but I’m not always getting the expected results — sometimes the output is empty or just returns the full set of generators.

Is there a standard or recommended workflow within Maple for computing optimal systems reliably? Or maybe there’s a Maple worksheet/tool already built for this purpose?

If anyone has experience using Maple for this — or has code or documentation to share — I’d greatly appreciate your help.
