Can i cites i.books for my research paper? Because, some people says that the book has general meaning about something which means we don't have to cites from the book for reaserch paper. Can someone ask my question? Thank you....

In general we avoid cite from books but only from journals. Although, there are a lot of book chapters of very valuable editors that are quite accepted. Depends always from your work, its level where are you going to publish etc. If its a BSc thesia its ok. If you want to send on a high impact factor journaλ, then you need to reconsider
