You don't need to use Excel. you can go to the WITS' Site , then select "trade stats" on the menu bar, after select "by indicator" , after that the last option in trade indicators called "Revealed Comparative Advantage" , then you should change selection like Country and Product. after that the Site engine calculate RCA automatically and report the number.
Its good to pick up RCA directly from WITS for "quick" research or first look at the data. But there are different measures of RCA, so its depends on your research question and whether you would like to take export and imports into account, or just exports . Then, I would prefer to construct them by yourself in Excel or some other software.
