In my PhD research, I am analysing geocoded images from publicly available sources such as social media and maps. Subjects of the images are not my research subject rather some specific objects in the images. For example, someone took a picture on a bridge, my topic is the bridge: where it is located, what it is made off, what is the color, and what purposes it's been in use and so on.

For this kind of research, can I apply grounded theory approach?

Looking forward to your valuable answers, and thanks in advance.
