if same material was used in the continuous phase (1 and 2) like PVA + chitosan.. i've come to realize hydrophobic drug is enough using single emulsion evaporation method. Any benefits using double emulsion solvent evaporation method?

I think there is no need for double emulsion technique in order to encapsulate a hydrophobic drug. Single emulsion or nano-precipitation techniques are more applicable and reliable.
