I agree with Mr. Sumeet, space time mapping depends on the resolution of satellite data. Higher the resolution better will be the space time mapping.
I believe that other tools or representation rules will do it. The known GIS tools, in my oppinion, can't resolve for the moment the issue. The present tools are for mathematically representation of our world and here we can speak about some situations which occured at a certain time.
Your question is quite broad, it can have different answers depending the context.
