As I feel empathy can be taught like other skills. Earlier children used to get all kinds of skills at home. In curriculum design we have made the syllabus to make the students as a machine. Everything revolves around the information and technology and students are lacking in human touch and feeling. Students are getting more involved in materialistic things rather than in understanding others feelings. Thus in my opinion Empathy course is going to give new life to the existing courses to make the students more human.

yess .. Empathy could be learned.Inspirational stories, visit to the rehabilitation centre, old age homes, orphanage, De addiction centre, unconditional respect , love and acceptance pave the way for its development. Role play is a wonderful technique.
