The best example is Singapore, where workforce diversity is very high compared with any other country. There it can be seen that inclusiveness and harmonious workplace appreciates differences amongst workers towards maximizing their potential.
Last year I published a piece about how National Diversity can affect team performance in the NHL. In doing so, I reviewed a lot of the literature on how diversity can influence both workforce and sporting performance. Maybe something in there can help you.
A few additional thoughts. One, it is important to clearly define what is meant by diversity. What are we measuring? For my research, I used nationality. But other researchers have, namely, used ethnicity, social class or linguistic background.
Two, the research differs greatly on the positive impacts of diversity. My own research shows no measurable effects. Some find negative outcomes (often due to increased intergroup conflict), while others find positive outcomes related to the greater diversity of ideas and perspectives in the group.
