The best example of regional integration today is being implemented by the EU. But can a new and different momentum be achieved with rising Asia? Is it possible to see an integration process in Asia, as in the case of the EU, if not soon? Can China and India lead this? I respectfully state that your views are invaluable and that I will welcome different opinions through a brainstorming activity on this subject.
Probably it will not be possible because of their historical rivalry and rising competition.

Thank you for raising this important question. Although China and India are fast growing economies in Asia, likening them - at this time - to France and Germany in the EU is somewhat hopeful at best. For starters, there is no pan-Asian equivalent of the EU so the governance frameworks to help and coordinate China's and India's mutual growth in the region are not in place. Second, the scale of China's and India's population is much more vast than that of France and Germany.
