We (Dr Sara Ashencaen Crabtree and myself) have recently undertaken ethnographic research with an indigenous group. During the research our two children (aged 13 and 10 yrs), who were with us in the field, assisted by engaging and interacting with the children of the communities and collected data from them by interviewing them about school, play, enjoyment and so forth.
This was very valuable and, indeed, has led us to develop our results as a 'family' ethnography.
Does anyone have similar experiences, comments or views they might be willing to share with us on the topic?
Thank you in anticipation.
