Actually, there is controversially saying regarding this issue, but it can be said that you can not use the natural teeth and implant as abutments in the same time for all cases due to the lack of the space around the implant which, in natural teeth, occupied by the periodontal ligament which in turn play the most important role in distributing the occlusal and masticatory forces.
thank you doctors for your answer but maybe my question was not clear,
I'm asking about using implant and teeth as abutment retained attachment for the same Removable denture,
case scenario: maxillary class I Kennedy classification with remaining anteriors teeth i will use one canine to carry extracoronal attachment and the other canine which it's implant to carry crown with the another attachment for esthetic reason? is it possible or its better to put locator attachment on implant canine ?
It has been conclusively shown that a FIXED bridge on both implant and natural teeth is problematic within a few years. Thus, by extrapolation, I would be very hesitant to use a mixed implant-natural retention platform for a REMOVABLE appliance.
Since natural teeth are inherently more mobile than implants, mixed retention will put high stresses on the implant. How about planning for an additional implant, and retention of the partial on the implants ONLY?
natural teeth and implants have clinically different mobility. this leads to overload implants without no need to include natural teeth in the appliance

Hi, Dr. Hasan. I´m a maxillofacial prosthetics student and I don´t have a formed opinion about it yet. Please, if you can list the articles as Dr. Stern did, it would help me to transfer this knowledge to the mutillated patient reality. Thanks.
